Effective Mentoring Skills – for Mentors

Aim & Approach

This training session equips staff with the awareness and skills to build highly productive mentoring relationships. Delegates will understand how to create a successful mentoring relationship and agree a mentoring contract together with clear goals and boundaries. They will also learn effective communication and feedback skills which are essential for achieving the agreed goals. This course will give Mentors the ability to create a supportive environment where the Mentee can thrive.

After attending delegates will:

• Be aware of the impact of honest, realistic feedback on mentee development

• How to confidently provide the best balance of support and challenge for the Mentee
