NHS Gloucestershire cut inboxes by 71% and reduce irrelevant traffic by 62%
NHS Gloucestershire is ambitious in the pursuit of excellence in health.
The organisation serves a population of approximately 602,000 people and covers the following district council areas: Cotswold, Cheltenham, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Tewkesbury and Stroud.
NHS Gloucestershire has a budget of £911 million for 2010/2011 and currently employs over 3,000 staff (including Gloucestershire Care Services).
Email traffic was high and users were often finding it difficult to manage and prioritise their email effectively. The amount of irrelevant email traffic was considered a problem and the reduction of this was a priority for the Trust.
The Emailogic solution
The Trust asked Emailogic to train its trainers to deliver the award winning seminars in house and following the successful delivery of this training the 90 minute Emailogic seminars were rolled out in NHS Gloucestershire between July 2009 and February 2010.
After the Emailogic training, time spent daily reading, writing and managing emails went down by an impressive -26.3 minutes per person . Also the number of irrelevant emails received were reduced by -62.5% and inboxes were cut by a staggering -71.6%.
The NHS Staff were impressed with their results and the way their behaviour changed:

The time saved by NHS Gloucestershire is worth the equivalent of 13.0 extra staff days per year based on the 158 delegates who reported their results.
