Welcome to the Emailogic blog

At Emailogic we believe everyone should be a brilliant email user. Training in email etiquette creates huge productivity gains that mean staff have more time, reduce email traffic and communicate more effectively. And it is not difficult to achieve - as hundreds of thousands of Emailogic graduates have proven.

Recent research once again highlights that email overload impacts workers – and can be putting their health at risk.

“A Pace Not Dictated by Electrons: An Empirical Study of Work Without Email” conducted in May this year proved that:
- Email users changed screens 37 times an hour on average.
- Email overload presented as a marked rise in heart rate.
- Workers with no email access needed to multi task less and experienced less stress.

Separate research conducted last month with members of a Police Constabulary command team and their PA’s showed that after attending Emailogic award winning training there was a reduction in:
Time spent on email every day per person -42 minutes
Irrelevant emails received -36.5%
Size of inboxes -26.2%
Number of times checking email per day -36.7%

Comments included:
“This training has taught me to be more efficient and effective and has improved my stress levels.”
“I understand better now that I have control of my emails… they don’t control me!”
“Feel less driven and controlled by emails.”

29 staff attended the training – the time saving of 42 minutes per person will equate to a gain of £72,500 worth of time over the forthcoming year.

Do you think this is an essential or a ‘nice to have’?

Those who invest a modest amount of their training budget on email etiquette reap clear business benefits and return on investment.
